The **Back in stock** page lists each product and variant shoppers are waiting for, with how many are waiting and what past alerts earned. RocketCart doesn’t send alerts by itself when stock changes. When an item is back, you press **Notify** and the alert goes to everyone on its waitlist.

## What does the waitlist table show?

| Column | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Product** | The product, plus “Variant” and the variant’s ID number when a variant was sold out |
| **Waiting now** | Shoppers waiting since the last alert, and how long the oldest has waited. “All notified” when everyone got the alert |
| **Notified** | Shoppers who got an alert for this item, over all sends |
| **Clicked** | Shoppers who tapped the link in the alert |
| **Converted** | Orders from the alert, with the rate below it |
| **Revenue** | Revenue from those orders |
| **Actions** | **View customers** and **Notify** |

With no shoppers waiting yet, the page says “Nothing here yet”. Rows appear once a shopper uses the button on your store.

## How do I send the alert?

1. Restock the product in Shopify.
2. Open **Back in stock** in RocketCart.
3. Click **Notify** on the product’s row.
4. Check the count in “Send the back-in-stock alert” and click **Send now**.

RocketCart shows “Notifying {count} customer(s) — this runs in the background.” Each shopper gets the alert in the language they subscribed in.

**Notify** stays greyed out when nobody is waiting, or when you have no live message. In that case the tooltip says “Activate an approved message before notifying customers.” See [set up back in stock](/docs/back-in-stock/set-up-back-in-stock/).

Warning

Each alert is a paid WhatsApp message from Meta. Press **Notify** once the item is really back. See [WhatsApp costs and limits](/docs/whatsapp/whatsapp-costs-and-limits/).

## What happens after I press Notify?

- Everyone who got the alert moves to **Already notified** for that item.
- Shoppers who join later form a new **Waiting now** group for the next alert.
- Anyone who replied STOP to your WhatsApp messages is skipped.
- If your number hits its daily limit, the rest stay on the waitlist. Press **Notify** again the next day.

Alerts don’t go out while your WhatsApp quality rating is Medium or Low.

## Who is waiting for an item?

Click **View customers**. A panel lists:

- **Waiting now**: each shopper’s phone number and when they joined, grouped by language;
- **Already notified**: each past alert, with when it went out and who got it.

## How are orders counted?

Every alert carries a short link to the product. RocketCart counts an order for the alert when:

- the shopper tapped the link and ordered within 7 days, or
- the order uses a phone number the alert was delivered to, within 3 days.

The links don’t expire. Click and order tracking come from the **Back in stock button** app embed, so keep it on.

The Dashboard’s **Back in stock** card adds these up for all products: **Shoppers waiting**, **Alerts sent**, **Orders recovered**, **Revenue recovered** and the **Most wanted** product.
