RocketCart emails every abandoned checkout it imports, and you can’t pause its emails from the app. If Shopify’s own abandoned checkout email or a Klaviyo abandoned checkout flow is also on, the same shopper gets reminders from both. Turn the other one off.

## Why do shoppers get two reminders?

RocketCart reads the abandoned checkouts Shopify lists and starts its own sequence for each one. It doesn’t know about emails sent by Shopify or Klaviyo, and they don’t know about RocketCart’s. Nothing switches the others off for you.

Two sets of reminders for one checkout look pushy, and two different discount codes in one inbox teach shoppers to wait for the better deal.

## How do I stop Shopify’s own abandoned checkout email?

1. In your Shopify admin, find the automatic abandoned checkout email. Depending on your store, it is a marketing automation or a customer notification.
2. Turn it off, or pause the automation.
3. Save.

If you built your own abandoned checkout workflow in Shopify Flow, turn that off too.

## How do I stop a Klaviyo abandoned checkout flow?

1. In Klaviyo, open your abandoned checkout or abandoned cart flow.
2. Take the flow out of live sending, for example by setting it back to draft.
3. Check that no other live flow sends abandoned checkout reminders.

## What if I want to keep my Klaviyo flow?

Then RocketCart and Klaviyo will both email the same shoppers, because RocketCart’s email recovery has no on/off switch. Pick one tool for abandoned checkout emails.

Tip

Before you turn the other emails off, note their discount. RocketCart can add a one-time code to its third reminder email. Set it in **Settings** > **Email Settings**. See [discount](/docs/settings/discount/).
